Acceptable Evidence Guidance V3 Issued (archived)

22nd December 2014

Please note that the Acceptable Evidence Guidance Document has been reviewed, updated and reissued. This is now Version 3 19th December 2014

At the front of this document there is a table which summarises the changes made.

A copy of the guidance can be found on the Knowledge Base Tab of the ACE website: Acceptable Evidence Guidance V3

Version 2 September 2014 remains available on the Ace website, for reference.

We are reviewing the document on a monthly basis to ensure it remains up-to-date and accurate. If you have any evidence types that are not currently included in the guidance, but you believe do meet the minimum data requirements for acceptable evidence, then please forward these to us using the online ACE Helpdesk. These will be presented and discussed at our monthly review meetings and a decision made as to whether or not the new evidence type can be accepted or not. Either way we will let you know.

Any other feedback/comments on the document will be most welcome.

Change of Framework ownership

19th December 2014

The Laboratory and Science Technicians framework is changing ownership from SEMTA to Cogent as of 2nd Jan 2015. If you have not previously worked with Cogent you will need to add them to your linked bodies. To do this your main admin will need to log in and go to the Organisation details tab.

Within this tab you will see the tab Linked Bodies. This tab will show you a list of all of the Certification Bodies. You simply need to select Cogent followed by the update button at the bottom of the list. This will then save the updated list.

Now you have added Cogent to your linked CB’s all of Cogent’s frameworks will be listed and you will be able to submit Apprenticeship Certification Claims against the Laboratory and Science Technicians framework.

If you already work with Cogent the frameworks should automatically appear when you first log in after the 2nd Jan 2015. If you cannot see the frameworks after this date please contact the ACE Support Team.

Please note that any Apprenticeship Certification Claims currently awaiting certification will remain with SEMTA only new apprentices will be registered with Cogent. If you have any at the entered stage these will need to be entered under Cogent.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the ACE support team via the helpdesk.
