Christmas time, mistletoe and coffee…

28th November 2014

ACE-IT has now been up and running for almost 3 months. Those of you that have been using it have provided us with lots of good feedback and are finding the tool very beneficial. We are continually adding more questions to ACE-IT and are keen that it becomes an integral, and regular, part of all ACE users work activities.

To get you all into the festive spirit we are running a pre-Christmas competition and will be offering a weekly prize of a hot drinks machine to the first person to score 100% on an ACE-IT exercise and send us a screen shot of their results page. You will need to send us your results using the new online Help Desk system within ACE.  Entries will NOT be accepted via any other method. To make it more of a challenge, we will be increasing the number of questions in an ACE-IT exercise from 10 to 15. This increase will be effective from Monday 1st December.

There will be 3 weekly competitions, in the run up to Christmas, with a new one starting each week commencing on Monday 1st, 8th and 15th December and running until 5pm on the Friday of each week.

All you need to do is complete an ACE-IT exercise and if you get a score of 100%, take a screen shot of your completion/results screen (see example below) and send this to the Federation, using the new online ACE Helpdesk and add the subject line of ‘Mistletoe and Coffee TP’.

The first person, each of the 3 weeks, to submit their evidence of an ACE-IT score of 100% will win a De’Longhi Dolce Gusto Mini Me Hot Drinks Machine, described as “great coffee encapsulated”!!

If during any of the competition weeks no-one submits evidence of a 100% ACE-IT score then the prize will roll over into the next week – so 2 hot drinks machines up for grabs!

For your chance to win one of these hot drinks machines, you can enter each week, and the competition is open to all ACE-IT users whether or not you have used it before. You can enter as many times as you like each week but only one 100% entry per user will be accepted.

If you haven’t yet used the ACE-IT tool then please go to the ACE-IT home page and register for an account and then you will be ready to undertake your first ACE-IT exercise and your chance to win one of the prizes.

Guidance on how to use the newly launched ACE online Helpdesk is available under the Knowledge Base Tab on the ACE website.

If you do have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact the ACE Support Team via the online ACE helpdesk facility.

ACE Checklist

24th November 2014

We are pleased to inform you that a new ACE guidance document is now available for your use and reference. This is an ACE Checklist – Guidance to Making a Successful ACE Claim.

This is an interactive pdf file and it can be used either onscreen or printed out to use as a reference document when submitting Apprenticeship Certification claims on ACE. It includes lots of hints and tips on how to make a successful ACE claim and how to avoid some of the more common mistakes which can lead to claims being rejected.

Many thanks to those of you who took time to review and feedback back on earlier drafts of this new document.

The new checklist can be accessed here on the ACE Knowledge Base

If you have any comments or feedback on any of the ACE support documentation then please raise these with us via the new online ACE Help Desk.

From Monday when you log-in to ACE you will see the following Helpdesk Icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Click this and you will be automatically logged in to the new Helpdesk.

helpdesk2

From here you will be able to contact the support team regarding all your ACE related queries such as Technical Support, Evidence Queries and Rejection Appeals.

helpdesk3

The Helpdesk will help the Federation improve our customer service providing greater monitoring of our response times. It will also help us track common questions and trends to ensure that we continue to offer the best guidance that is tailored to our users. You will also be able to see the queries raised by your colleagues in the one place so that important information is shared across your organisation.

helpdesk4

The Helpdesk is very simple to use and navigate however a small guidance document will be made available at launch. Please be aware that you will still be able to contact the ACE Support Team via ace@fisss.org during the early stages of the Helpdesk’s lifespan to ensure that there is no break in service.

We would love to hear what you think about the new Helpdesk so please let us know your thoughts.
