The Improving Operational Performance framework incorporates three pathways (Performing Engineering Operations Level 2, Performing Manufacturing Operations Level 2 and Business Improvement Techniques Level 2) that equip apprentices with the basic skills and knowledge to carry out a range of engineering and manufacturing processes at semi-skilled and operator level. Higher Apprenticeship in the Water Industry

The water industry faces some key challenges including an ageing workforce, ageing infrastructure, a need to embrace new technologies to meet low carbon targets and a skills deficit in craft, technical and engineering roles. Outdoor Programmes

The aim of this apprenticeship is to meet the needs of employers for an expansion of funded training programmes, to widen recruitment and improve retention, to improve the experience base at lower levels of the sector as well as to provide progression opportunities to and within the outdoors sector at level 3. The expectation is that this framework is completed in a minimum duration of 12 months. Vehicle Body and Paint

The industry relies on a steady flow of new entrants and apprentices help to meet the skills needs of employers and to replace an aging workforce. Intermediate Level apprentices (Level 2) will train as technicians repairing and restoring body and paintwork or repairing and replacing windscreens on a range of light and heavy vehicles.
