The Apprenticeship offers an entry route into the industry and provides the skills and knowledge required to support future progression within the industry. The minimum duration for the Intermediate Apprenticeship is 24 months and Advanced Apprenticeship is 15 months.
The Diploma in Work-based Land-based Engineering included within the framework has routes which apprentices may select depending on the area of employment; these are reflected in jobs such as: service technician, sports/groundcare technician, demonstrator, independent technician or workshop supervisor/manager.
Following successful completion of the Apprenticeship, apprentices can progress within Landbased Engineering in Further/Higher Education or through other vocational courses.
