Advanced Level Apprenticeships in the Electrotechnical Industry are designed to reflect the industry’s competence requirements. In this document are the following occupation framework pathways:
Highway Electrical Systems Service & Maintenance
Highway Electrical Systems Commissioning
Successful completion of these Advanced Level Apprenticeship frameworks reflect the ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to complete tasks and address problems that, while well defined, have a measure of complexity. This includes taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and procedures, as well as exercising autonomy and judgement within parameters. It also reflects awareness of different perspectives or approaches within an area of study or work.
In order to demonstrate the industry recognised level of competence reflected by this Advanced framework it is expected the minimum duration for its completion will be no less than 42 months.
